Democratas

The Brazilian Democrats, known in Portuguese as Democratas (DEM), is a political party in Brazil that has undergone significant evolution since its inception. Originally emerging from the remnants of the National Renewal Alliance (ARENA), the party that supported the military dictatorship from 1964 to 1985, it has since rebranded and reshaped its political stance to adapt to Brazil's evolving democratic landscape. The party was officially founded as the Liberal Front Party (PFL) in 1985, positioning itself as a center-right force in Brazilian politics, and later rebranded as the Democr…  ats in 2007 to reflect a broader ideological spectrum and to distance itself from its origins.
